Andrea Portella, Rio de Janeiro, 1951.
Pharmacist graduated from UFRJ, I worked as an executive until 2011 in the corporate area of ​​large healthcare companies. Upon completing 60 years I closed my professional activities and started to dedicate myself to photography.
Post-graduated in Photography and Image at IUPERJ / UCAM, I started my photography studies in São Paulo, continuing at Ateliê da Imagem, and at EAV.
I was a student of Leandro Pimentel, Mickele Petruccelli Pucarelli, Leonardo Ramadinha, Marcos Bonisson and Franz Manata.
In 2013, I went to India on a photographic expedition to the Himalayas and Uttarakhand - the result of this work is currently being edited to make a picture book. I developed documentary photography projects for NGOs in communities in Rio de Janeiro.
